Support WOHA Widows

"Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God and continues in.....

supplications and prayers night and day” (1st Timothy 5:5) Many widows struggle with feelings of loneliness, guilt, anger, shame, and a sense of worthlessness in the world. Assistance to widows and orphans is a means of worship to God and it is how God defines Religion (James 1:27). The directive to give aid to widows and orphans is well documented in many passages of the Bible. WOHA mission for widows is to increase self sufficiency by giving aid, providing food, clothing, personal care, comfort and encouragement whenever the opportunity presents itself.

As a Christian nonprofit service organization, WOHA recognizes the need of stepping up, using the resources that God has provided us with and sharing with widows and orphans to restore their dignity. Why does restoring dignity matter in fighting on behalf of the poor?  Dignity provides a sense that an individual, a family, a community, are worth preserving and sustaining, regardless of circumstances.  Dignity sustains the poor while defeating the circumstances of poverty. We are committed to using all funds and resources wisely, with respect and accountability.

Our intention is NOT to enable the plight of widows, but to encourage and empower them to turn their personal challenges into learning tools. Some of the tools will provide them with life skills that will enable widows to have a better chance at life are, sustainable solutions - not just maintenance mode. In other words, WOHA will support enterprise-not just aid or handouts. Your donation will help us fund business skills training and empower widows to turn their personal woes to help themselves and others. WOHA utilizes financial gifts, equipment, medicines, material and labor of people, churches and businesses that share the desire to serve the needs of widows and orphans.
